The retooled Andro C is the evolution of Ozone Discs’ initial innovative idea — using multi-density inserts to create a single mold capable of producing variations in flight characteristics, first seen in the Andro 1.
Although the Andro 1 was ultimately discontinued due to manufacturing issues, the Andro C revived the mold by filling in the weighted ring sections, resulting in a neutral-weight, slightly understable disc. When you look at the Andro C in the light, you can see thickened circular regions in the flight plate and rim where the inserts once were — which inspired the name “O-Zone” because of the “O” shape.
While this disc is more conventional and no longer contains the weighted rings, it remains a representation of our innovative ideas. It’s a great, slightly understable flyer and comes in our semi-transparent plastic, which has always been one of our favorites.
